We are not accountants, but we have a great understanding of business financials and know many brilliant accountants who have taught us a lot over the years.
We are not your brand and marketing specialists, but we understand the value and investment you have made in your brand over the years and we are very good at marketing for the right buyer (confidentially) in order to protect that brand throughout the sales process.
We are not lawyers, but we work alongside yours to make sure all the ‘i's are dotted and ‘t’s are crossed! There is plenty in business law that we never touch, but with over 200 business sales across many industries, we have a pretty good grasp on what you need in your business sale contract. Through the business sales process it is often highlighted how important getting the legal side of your business in order is to a future sale… when are the renewals in your lease, and what should you be doing to make sure your lease adds value rather than detracting? Are your distribution agreements, trademarks, etc, in a position to add value? If you own a business in partnership, do you have a shareholders agreement if one wants/needs to sell unexpectantly in 8 months’ time and you don’t? How would that play out?
